This course has been designed to assist people working with adults and carers, who could potentially contribute to assessing, planning, intervening and evaluating the needs of an adult where there are safeguarding concerns.

Aims

  • To help you think critically and carefully about adult safeguarding concerns
  • To enhance your knowledge and skills around adult safeguarding
  • To help you feel more confident in carrying out the responsibilities for safeguarding in your role
  • To provide the opportunity for people to learn and work together, exploring professional dilemmas in a multi-agency context

Suitable for: All staff that have frequent contact with adults and/or carers as part of their work, paid or voluntary, for example; Support workers, Housing Officers, Social Workers, Occupational Therapists, Care workers, Dementia Advisors, College/Further Education staff, Healthcare assistants etc.
